Medical Eye Services

Medical Treatment of Eye Diseases

Carolinas Vision Group provides comprehensive, competent eyecare. All of our doctors are trained and licensed in the diagnosis and treatment of most anterior segment and posterior segment medical eye conditions. We have state-of-the-art instrumentation for the detection, diagnosis, and documentation of eye diseases. As deemed necessary, our examinations may include binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy, retinal fundus photography, scanning laser polarimetry, pachymetry, threshold visual field analysis, and more to provide second to none medical eyecare. Our doctors routinely manage patients with conditions as varied as infectious conjunctivitis, ocular allergies, dry eyes, corneal abrasions and foreign bodies, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration.

Diabetic Eye Care

Many patients do not realize it but the eyes are the only place in the body that we can look directly at the blood vessels to see how they are reacting throughout the rest of their bodies. Therefore, our doctors work very closely with local general practitioners, internists and endocrinologists to manage diabetic eye care. Once we have seen you, we will send a report back to your doctor to let them know how your blood vessels are responding to any current treatments. Together, we make a great team responsible for your total care!

Medical Insurance

We are happy to coordinate with your medical insurance for any medically necessary procedures that the doctor deems best for your care. Learn more about insurance.
